Reversing the High School Dropout Epidemic in America

The American Dream today is at risk of unraveling. Though, today we are the world's wealthiest country, 30% of all kids in the US are dropping out of high school. If that's not alarming enough, 70% of all young black men are dropping out. We can reverse this trend.

In this video, Operation HOPE Founder, Chairman and CEO John Hope Bryant discusses the growing crisis surrounding the high school dropout epidemic in America and explores possible solutions to reverse the trend.

One solution, is Operation HOPE's own 5MK (5 MILLION KIDS) Initiative, which seeks to break the cycle of the high school dropout crisis in America and to help make "smart cool again" (high school students), and to "make smart cool again" (young adults in college and adults in society) too. As a young black male the true is not High School drop outs but the fact Black men obtain the wrong skills for employment & the High Schools they attend are horrible compare to 1st world standards! Do you know at white HS you can earn a associates in computer science......
