This is the basics of rigging a character in blender. I wouldn't advice you to watch this if you think you're "to advanced" for this. In this tutorial I will be teaching you how to rig a character in blender without weightpaint. This is my 1st videos on a series of rigging tutorials. My second rigging tutorial will involve weightpaint, bone constraint, and other fun stuff!! Subscribe to me for more.

****I quit blender and moved on to maya, so don't comment asking me how to do something. Also this is a very old video so don't complain about me using an old version of blender, because at the time this was the newest version.

Oh and shout outs to my neck for supporting me. Shout outs for my legs for keeping me up, and shout outs to my eyes for always looking out for me.

  • Thank you. I'm a real beginner, but I followed everything and now I'm ready to try for myself. Great tutorial. Thanks for sharing it

  • Im a beginner & i think Weight Paint is Easy ! & what you did is still kind of weight painting without painting lol. The light circle represents the bone strength & by making it bigger gives it a bigger influence but i might try what you did & see how it goes !

  • how the hell did you just do whatever you just did with the original cube to make that figure??
