@noaidie dude its a huge part of Africa's music in culture and it is from African origins and therefore deserves to be named after its country of origin. Plus, it doesn't matter who plays it-just because its called African doesn't mean other people who aren't African can't play it or look bad playing it. Besides it being an African creation and from Africa, it's just another of the world's great instruments

Please don't call the drum "African" . . . It makes Americans seem ignorant. I know the drum is played in Northern Africa, but people from the Middle East/ Arabic cultures do not appreciate you calling this "African".
