VMF Agosto is a three and a half year old black PRE Andalusian Stallion. This horse is the definition of "Black Beauty" and stands just under 16HH. He is the son of Olympic calibre Stallion, Mystique's Manolete, who holds 22 National titles and 4 high point of show in halter and dressage showing in both breed and open shows in the USA and Canada. VMF Agosto was Canadian National Champion Andalusian Colt, 2 years and under, in 2008 and, in 2010, he was Grand National Champion in Dressage Suitability with only 23 rides under his belt. In the same year he scored a 70% on his very first dressage test (Training Level, Test 4) in front of a FEI "I" judge at the British Columbia Dressage Championships.
This stallion was born to do dressage! After 4 months under saddle Agosto easily performs all the components of First level. He has everything needed to be a Grand Prix superstar in the FEI dressage ring. Agosto is extremely willing to please and has the best work ethic of any horse I've ever had the pleasure of training. This horse exudes brilliance and never ceases to exceed expectations. In addition to his great willingness, he is very light and sensitive under saddle. This sensitivity creates beautiful movement which is expressive yet powerful and delivers eye catching "Wow Factor" in the arena. His rider needs to be very quiet and light with aids to get the seamless transitions and beautiful movements that Agosto can so easily do. For this reason, a more experienced and talented rider is recommended.
Agosto has lovely ground manners and does not show any aggressive stallion behaviours. He clips, bathes, cross ties, trailers and lunges easily. In addition to being very kind and gentle, Agosto is also comfortable around other horses.
