I bought a '62 back in the early '70s for $100. Wish I'd have kept it. I loved the stacked pots. I saw a really beat up one at auction a couple of years ago go for $45,000.

i just played one like this today...outstanding!
it was so fun to just hold it and even to just look at it.
was really comfortable to play,and sounds AWESOME.

@4stringMafia fender bass with block inlays can not be a 62 i believe they didn't start the block pearl inlays till cbs took over fender in late 1965. so your bass is a later bass then a 1962 infact i would say probably a late 60's early 70's! as for the pickup not working, it may just be loose solder. easy repair. or may need rewinding ask your local guitar store
