Room 222 intro from 1970. From chrisman737- "Fantastic theme by one of my favorite film composers of all time -- Jerry Goldsmith (he also did "The Twilight Zone" and "The Waltons" and countless movies)." ShoutFactory.com came out with the DVD in March 2009. http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/releases/... Los Angeles High School was used as Walt Whitman High. If you want this song on MP3 or a 20 second ringtone email me at ojairoy at gmail.com I sure love the flute. CORRECTION ON JAN 4, 2009- Thanks to McKennahLane who posted "I'm a flute player and a band director. That's not a flute. It's a recorder. But you were close."

Wow, i remember watching that intro on the little TV in my room when I was supposed to be going to sleep, but my mom would always bust in and start screaming at me and slapping me and shit. The opening was all I ever saw of that show.
I thought this show was hokey when I was a kid but it broke ground making two black actors the stars. The show featured Eric Laneuville who still looks like a kid and he's probably close to 60 years old.
I remember watching this show first run. I was in late grade school. It made me look forward to high school. It's so sad to think of the issues kids have to deal with these days, including whether you may or may not make it home alive.
Lordy, they had looooonnnnnnng openings back then -- unlike today which is none. I miss those days. I loved the openings of shows like FALCON CREST, KNOTS LANDING. A by-gone era!
