dude, I dont know if GIMP is as good as photoshop (and I really doubt about that) but as far as I know you can easyly run photoshop on Linux. so if you really are PROFFESIONAL graphic and you need PROFFESIONAL program you can also instal photoshop. and we, ordinary users stick with free stuff
