Inkscape Tutorial - Shiny Button

Shiny button that looks like glass. This glossy button is easy to create. Inkscape is not a bitmap editor, like GIMP, but rather it is a Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) editor. An advantage of SVG editors is that they allow images to be scaled without a loss of resolution. Inkscape will allow you to convert your created image into a PNG bitmap image, at the desired resolution, using the export function under the file menu. The resulting PNG file can be used in web pages or read and modified using GIMP. Note however that once the image is converted to a bitmap image, a loss of resolution can occur if the image is resized.

HI. Thank you very much for these videos. I have managed to obtain the basics of Inkscape and hope to use it much more. l have one problem that l would like you to assist me with. I can group pieces into one piece, my main problem is the duplicated shapes, where am finding it impossible to click them(holding down shift button) because they are below exactly the same shape. I hope you understand my question.

If you hold the Alt key while left-clicking on the object, it will select the object underneath. You might be interested in watching another video that I made titled "Inkscape Tutorial - Selecting Hard-To-Select Objects."
