@GBeckfanNY - Yes, Mick Hone was the navigator and suffered broken ribs etc but he did live, although he remained trapped in the car with Peter dead beside him for some time...

I drive an XB coupe but respect to Brocky, he was an awesome driver. Dunno about you but I'm kind of almost wincing watching this - knowing what happened after it, its hard not to think he's going a bit quick for the conditions..theres even a few moments in this that look a bit too hairy for comfort...I'm watching this a few hours after 2 died in Classic Adelaide 2009, and much as I love cars and fast driving, it sure as hell makes you aware of how wrong it can go...

does anyone have the actual video of the crash. I am not trying to be disrespectful, but I would like to see how the crash may have occured. What shocked me was that brock was not wearing the correct saftey ger, notice him not wearing gloves. I am not sure if it is mandotory, but I would have.

RIP Pete, your a legend, King Of The moutain, you will not be forgotten.

Not wearing gloves, you watching the same clip, he is clearly wearing gloves, the navigator isn't wearing any but Brock is.

@mikethenascarfan

No he wasn't.

He was always the driver. Why would anyone want Brocky navigating when he could be driving? There was none better.

Deeply loved, sorely missed, greatly respected. An inspiration, a hero, always the king of the mountain.

I'm more a motorbike guy than a car guy, but if I go like Brockie, hard and fast to the final minute, doing what I love doing, then I can think of no better or more fitting way.
