Beautiful medicinal food plant and pollinater friendly permaculture, some dont like it,call it briars for the 'velcro' flower heads that stick to you..real good ) , this plant is where the idea came from for velcro. leaf stems can be peeled and eaten raw, boil the roots in two changes of water off the 1st yr plants, very good to eat. Some make like a candied yam out of them. Very good for hair, fingernails and skin.
