I can see wot Hollywood will do with the live action adap of Akira. It will loosly follow the original Manga/Anime classic but will b styled and re-imagined for the American, western audiences. So basically Im saying they r going to do their own take on it, which in-turn means they will trash the classic. Theres no way they'll match the gritty, deep, feel of that classic Anime.

@FPSPointMan It was early rumors but now Garret Hedlund (that other guy on a bike in a futuristic world lol), is headed for the Kaneda role. I personally think it shud just b a mix of eastern and western actors, but with a Asian actor in the lead for Kaneda makes sense really, and its fair to both sides of the fan group.

bro the redbub has better pronounciation i personally like it better too. especially when tetsuo and kaneda are talking ten minutes before tetsuo loses his arm. i felt that dub had a better representation of the realationship of kaneda and tetsuo
