This is a song I wrote with my group LUNA over Christmas break, and here I performed it with my boy Gabi for our school's talent show "Fpu's got talent". Thanks to everyone who came out and supported!

Verse:1
There was only 2 minutes lying in-between me and death, and at the time I didn't know, but now I won't forget, what the day was like when my parents dropped me off at school. Me n my sister said bye, cuz we thought everything was cool. So we headed off, both to our own classrooms when my teacher came up and he said he had news. And at the time, I didn't know it'd be so sad, there was a car accident and it involved my dad? I'm mad. I'm thinkin to myself this cant happen again. Lookin up askin questions Lord, Why's this happenin? So many things he's gotta teach me, a broken neck will he survive? But he got out that hospital bed the show wasn't over Alright.

Have you ever had a dream? I was only 13 with my head back on the bed watchin a tv screen when I told my family that their boy was gonna make it/ Cuz my goals won't be given gotta stand up n take it/ Be it small or be it big, I gotta do it where I live/ make a name for myself cuz I don't wanna live just content knowin that there's so much more when you give/ showin love to someone who doesn't expect it is above/ the in-fluence nevermind when the critics say you won't do it cuz they wanna see you slippin till your future's gone/ I dream to teach a classroom, with knowledge you'll be dangerous. To change the world around us we don't gotta be famous

So when the next time someone says you won't ever make it, just smile and wave back cuz they won't know how to take it. If your mama raised you better and yo dad would smack you fast if you let them get you down, if its true raise a glass. Whatever you got, if it's mamas Koolaid you know its tasting good. It's like if you take the last sip, boy I wish you would. Even when it looks bad we know it's still all good, but this is for the kids that are livin in my hood.

I am a teacher in place where most teachers don't want to go. This song was extremely inspirational to me. I love my kids and I know what goes on at home I wish they would verbalize it more like you have here. Good luck to you and all your pursuits in your life.
