@Hoffenheim08 She was tough mentally, but being attacked as a teenage girl by a crazed Graf fan, a much bigger person with a knife and having it be in your back while your guard is down during a tennis match takes a lot to get over. I dont understand why as a german Graf fan your not able to see this. Are people around you getting knifed and stabbed regularly? And Steffi was so weak mentally that in 94 while Monica was away she only one one GS that year, and she didn't have any competition

If Selles didn't get stabbed, Graff would have desapeared from N°1 place for ever.
I did prefer Graff but she had that same Fed/Nad complex.
Selles was far better weight/power ratio.
we will never know what should happened. that s it!

This was amazing point with Monics being only 15, Steffi must have been worried at her aggressive play thinking how'd she improve since it was 89 and Seles was so young
