This song makes me sad, but you wouldn't care anymore. After so long, I still don't know whether you had cared about me at all... I wish you could turn around and notice me for even a second and see beneath all those childish pretenses and realise how much I've always cared for you.

@Maybethen1273 I know how you feel. For me it is Brenda and it's been 30 years and I'm sure I'll never get over her. How do you replace perfection? That summer of 1981 was the best of my life.

Hadn't thought of this song for a very long time, but back in the late 80s, I couldn't hear this song post-divorce without crying. Now I look back with a different perspective. I'm not "almost" over my ex, I realize now that I really and truly AM over him...even though it took nearly 2 decades to do it lol. Good song just the same.
