Second Life: Avalon Acid Maze Walkthrough

How I get through the acid maze. Give this way a try yourself if the maze has been giving you trouble. :) It makes it LOADS easier... at least for me. I can't speak for everyone. :P

Summary:
Before you start, lower your graphics quality. This helps reduce lag and choppy animations.
Also make sure "Show Avatar in Mouselook" is enabled.
Edit your appearance and make yourself as short as possible.
Close your chat bar (by pressing Esc) and use WASD to move instead of the arrow keys. Holding Spacebar will slow your movements greatly (or freeze you in place if you're not moving already), and using WASD instead of the arrows makes Spacebar easier to reach.
Always use mouselook mode, except for maybe the wall hugging part.

To move (especially around tough curves) start by holding down spacebar. WIth spacebar still pressed, hold down W, release Spacebar and then immediately press and hold it again. This will start you moving forward slowly enough that you should be able to easily steer yourself through the curves using your mouse without stopping.
When you reach the ledge directly up against the wall, just keep walking towards the wall at all times, never stopping until you reach the next platform. If you did what I suggested before and made yourself as short as possible, then the acid fountains should go right over you. Easiest part of the whole maze. :)
The last jump is easiest if you get a running start, but if you do, press the button to jump fairly early since there's usually a small delay.

It's not enabled in the sim, he has it overridden on his client. :)
