It's also a horrible video because takes moral exception to the comment and at the end does an immediate 180 turn and calls Ignatieff "disgusting". It is the perfect example of what we all need LESS of in this country - ad hominem attack ads. Don't like Iggy? Fine. No big deal. Make an ad that criticizes his ideas and his voting record or whatever else that's relevant. Quote mining of the sort done in this ad is just childish and helps no one.

I,myself,am actually NOT a Liberal, yet even I can say that The Liberals provided Canada with most if not all of our BEST PMs. Pierre Trudeau&Jean Chretien were the last 2 great PMs the Libs (& Canada) coughed up. Since then the Libs have drifted right-ward alarmingly quickly...ahhh the Trudeau days...and the 90's..nostalgia..I miss them

@walperstyle And I'm not even a Liberal or supporter of The Liberal Party myself.

No party is perfectly flawless&completely free from bad apples,but even I, as someone who is NOT a supporter of the Liberals, will never deny the wonderful things that the LiberalParty has done for Canada throughout our history&existence. &just like any other party, they also have their really bad moments,but it will never take away from the tremendous good in my mind. They were saying "fine, you can have them, but please just register them at least".On top of illegal firearms we don't need even more untraceable weapons.I dont think being asked to just register them is unreasonable. @walperstyle Chretien never said he would"eliminate the GST"..If you read The Red Book,the platform was to try to re-formulate/calculate the GST into a better& fairer tax..he actually did keep that promise & tried to negotiate with the provinces to go down that road, however apart from ONE Maritime province, the provinces decided to be stubborn&un-cooperative. The incorrect notion that he 'promised to eliminate the GST' was an untruth spread by the right-wing.

He had a corporate businessman as his minister of finance, who happened to save our country from economic armageddon. So please explain yourself.
