@pondplantgirl oh, thank you for replying! I am so glad those worm things aren't a threat to my pond & it's inhabitants. I've got a lot of little living critters & plants in there so I wouldn't want them to be harmed. thank you so much for your help! :-)

This year, maybe a month or two ago, I ordered 8 of your water lettuces, they came super fast and very healthy! Many with runners!!! I love them! :)

Hi, I was wondering if you ever get these brownish flat worms in your pond. I think they are planaria from the research I have done. I was thinking they were leeches, but they aren't round & they glide rather than moving how leeches do (leeches take sort of bouncy step like moves). please tell me if you ever get these flat worms & if they are harmful to the pond or fish/frogs in the pond. I'm kind of creeped out with them, which is funny because I usually can accept all the little critters.

@Alina674 Those brown flat worms are common in ponds and they do indeed look like leeches! However, they will not harm your fish or your plants. But are VERY creepy! I do find them often in my shallow ponds.

I did start a few of the lotus seeds you sent, they sprouted and are now in the pond. They are small but have high hopes for them.

@loislaney23 I'm glad your lotus seeds are doing good! They grow best in 6"-12" of water. After they are more mature and have several upright leaves then you can apply fertilizer. Best if you wait until the second season so you will not burn the plants.
