Bass guitar reminds you of what famous group? 2 minute SPOT for CNC FOR SALE - Make Me a Reasonable Offer which ran over 10 minutes..

Everything you see in the video is included in this CNC for sale. A virtual wonderland for the CNC Enthusiast. Great beginners CNC Machine, perfect for learning. It worked well but is currently disassembled as previous stepper motors were parted out to another machine. As seen in video and will need to be reassembled and tweaked. You will also need a computer to run the included software and to connect to the CNC. Video was shot straight from the hip with no editing but so answer many questions in visual detail.

Question: What is a CNC?
Answer: A CNC wood router is a Numerical control tool that creates objects from wood. Parts of a project can be designed in the computer with a CAD/CAM program, and then cut automatically using a router to produce a finished part.

The CNC router works like a printer. Work is composed on a computer and then the design or drawing is sent to the CNC router for the hard copy. This outputs a 3-dimensional copy of the work. The CNC router uses a cutting tool instead of an ink jet. The cutting tool is generally a router but other cutters can be used as well.

The CNC works on the Cartesian coordinate system (X, Y, Z) for 3D motion control. CNC stands for computer numerical control. This gives the computer a printer-like ability to drive a CNC machine to make parts.

The CNC Router is ideal for hobbies, engineering prototyping, product development, art, robotic education, and production work.

So what sort of parts are included and you will see in the video?

* CNC pc TB6560 driver board with 3 axis (stepper motor controller)

* A power supply has no need to be modified, check the back of it and you will find a small push switch and that will be it as it was built like a standalone unit and a pc power supply.

* In its previous incarnation before the CNC used 4 pins on Ethernet connector to connect limit switches. x,y,z and combo so don't plug and power up driver board before everything is connected and verified that its where it is supposed to be, doing so might. A bit of reading in the included material should help you on your quest.

* If you do some research and find out how much epoxy can hold. reason for not drilling top hole, fledged nuts are softer then lead screw and when you install them press just a little to join the fledged nuts to rest of parts under small angle, use cordless drill to move a few times forward and reverse and fledged nut will be in perfect position with no backlash. After nut wears out simple punch out and replace with another which can be purchased at any hardware store for about $3 for 2

* To adjust an axis remove the coupler and slightly move the assembly out and you will find the lead screw is a little under angle to get zero backlash. Lube slides with machine oil and move it a few times so it moves more freely. Being under tight tolerance just a little change can make big difference

*The larger stepper motors ran this on a grizzly mini mill with cnc zeus software. You can run the motors that came with the board @ 5volt dc with out resisters. If you run them at 12vdc make sure you use the power resistors. It shows you this in the wiring diagrams that came with board.make sure to read instructions on CD that came with board.

Computer is NOT included but you may try this:

The best way in my opinion is to use a full size tower with modified PC power supply on the front and a DVD Rom on the back.

Install a separate power cord for the back plus and the cnc unit and add a switch on the top.

In the driver bay install an additional 24v switching power supply.

On the back drill 3 holes for x,y,z axis. Add an additional cooling fan and for limit switches use a Ethernet connector.

Label the connectors on both ends according to driver boards.

Lead all the wires under the driver board and connected to the driver boards with labels on the cables so they can be determined what part is what.

There will be no room for the HD so just bolted it at the side of the unit.

Leave lots of room for air circulation.

If you follow these instructions for motor connectors and connect the motor on the external connector and hook it up according the the color code you will make the CNC parts take up with no problem.
