maybe if campus security has the guts to leave the gun at home the kids could too.
gun free zones are not illegal , guns do not belong in school, my opinion. just like
guns do not mix with alchohol, weapons in the bar LOL DUHH

Who cares, if it is legal, concealed is concealed and nobody knows anyway. If you had to draw it and use it, it would be under dire straights and would mean your life was in danger, so who cares if it violates the schools rules or not if it means life or death. You can get out of jail but not out of dead.

Im a student at HCC in MA. There is nothing in the student hand book addressing this issue. When I called the the school about LTC /CCW permit holders and firearms on campus, I was told NO! Does any one know what steps I could take to rectify this issue. I would like to see any student with a ccw permit be allowed to carry on campus. I feel so vulnerable sometimes knowing that at any moment some one could open fire on as many students as they want and not even the campus police could stop it.

The problem with common sense is that it's not very common. A lot of people are just little pussies and are afraid of guns.

Colleges and Universities are numb for not allowing CCW holders to carry especially when state law allows it. I say fine the college for each day they break state law by not allowing CCW holders to carry on campus.

It's absolutely shocking how foolishly ignorant people can be... GUNS don't flip out and kill people by themselves!!!! Guns are tools, just like pens and pencils... they can be used as a sword or shield. Believing any differently is a violation of common sense.

ORS 166.260 specifically mentions schools and universities as places where permit holders are allowed to carry. Private property owners are allowed to place firearm restrictions on their own property, but, because the school if funded by the state, it violates the statute.
