  • This is not a funicular, it's a cable car or gondola lift. Montserrat has a funicular but this is not it.

  • Actually, this what THEY call it. I didn't speak any catalan at all when I was there at that time. They call it funicular aeri, and I'm fine with that :)

  • I'm Catalan and can explain this.

    In Catalan the word "Funicular" is mainly applied to any transport that uses a cable as a traction. Can be aerial or by rails, both are called 'Funicular' in Catalan.

    And the correct name for this in particular is the one stated at the video title.
