Factory made versions of this puzzle and over 100 other puzzles are available in my Puzzle Shop here: http://tonyfisherpuzzles.net/puzzleshop.html

I made this puzzle in 2008 / 2009 while I was working on my Octaball. At the time Face Turning Octahedrons were very rare and I did not want to destroy any. For this reason I first made silicone rubber moulds of the parts and then cast new ones in polyurethane resin. These could then be used for any transformation. I would never normally have made a puzzle like this but since I had moulds of the Octahedron's parts I could do so pretty easily.
I have used standard Rubik's Cube style stickers though naturally there are more colours. I gave each of the squares a different colour but on hind site perhaps they should all be the same and just have the hexagons different.
