Alderman Bernard Stone of Chicago's 50th Ward runs for his 11th term as Alderman of Chicago's 50th Ward, which includes most of the North Side communities of West Ridge, West Rogers Park, and Peterson Park, in the city. The election will take place in February 2011, and if any candidate does not earn enough votes, itr could be decided with a run-off election.
Alderman Stone is also the Vice-Mayor of Chicago and Chairman of the City Council's Building committee. At 83 years old, he is also the senior member and most respected member of Chicago's City Council. Great interview Rabbi Doug! Alderman Stone is the most honest politician I have ever met, and definately should be re-elected for this last term so he can guide the new Mayor! For all he has done for the people in the 50th Ward over these more than 30 years, people owe him a lot of gratitude!
