I have 5 cats, all indoor rescued cats. My neighbor also has cats - she lets hers out. Since I have dedicated my yard to wildlife, guess where the cats go? Right to my yard. They hunt and kill my birds, chipmunks, etc., I have spent a tremendous amount of time and money planting native shrubs and trees, and trying to make wildlife be able to LIVE, and this woman just comes along a wipes them out like it is nothing. Yes, I need to do something about it. I am a non-controversial person who just wishes people would be responsible instead of the selfish, self-centered, tunnel-visioned society that we are. I don't blame the cats. It is their instinct, they will hunt even if not hungry, and they are an introduced, non-native species that has NO BUSINESS being in our local woods and gardens.
THE BIRDS AND CHIPMUNKS NEED SOMEWHERE SAFE TO LIVE!!!
KEEP CATS INDOORS!
BE RESPONSIBLE!

  • It isn't our position to interfere with nature, cats became part of the environment when we brought them here, just like humans themselves did. Human civilization is exactly the same as a series of ant colonies, spreading and growing and altering their environment. Anything we do to nature is in fact part of nature and trying to control it is foolish.

  • @wilosaur Giving up and doing nothing to help the planet is what is foolish.

  • Your cats are certainly blessed to have found a loving home with you. Thank you for rescuing them! Hugs, woofs, and meows from your friend Harley Dog :-)

  • @sxasher2 I was on your channel looking at his adorable face...LOVE Harley Dog! I subbed. For the animals...my best to you!

  • @AnimalsHumansEarth The planet doesn't need help. Where do you draw the line at what you consider nature and what you consider humanity? Just because natural populations are changing doesn't mean nature is in danger. Nature always changes and humanity is just another force of this change.

  • Great message! Their instincts overule their needs! But it is the fault of humans. We havn't changed their behavior as stated in the video, but rather supressed it. Humans always supress the natural instincts of animals by domestication.
