How amazing would it be if that in 2012 in the opening ceromony they had a Concorde, Vulcan and Red Arrows in formation and then have a Tornado and eurofighter afterwards going supersonic above with full reheat. And then inside the arena have an Aston Marton drifting round with a Jag after it. That would be alot better than having david beckham kick a football of a stupid bus and boris johnson waving our flag.

Just imagine this...2012 Olympics opening show....red arrows...Vulcan and just for for one last time....a concord fly by....oooo how i would love to see that :)

I don´t want to disagree but I remember that every year a vulcan and the red arrows use to fly over for the queens birthday must of been in the 70´s?

i live in east malling as well and was at the air show and the vulcan was so load that it set off all the car alarms.

I remember this! My family live under the flightpath they took to fly over the airfield and they went right over the house - it was amazing! I remember the noise being incredible! Wasn't it one of the last, if not THE last, flights of the vulcan?

Thanks for your comment about the vulcan at West Malling. I know it went on to do a few more shows but this was certainly one of the last. We live at East Malling and most certainly miss the airshows over our backgarden since the airfield became a housing estate!
