MY HOME'MADE KNIFE / SHORT SWORD

CUT AND CARVED FROM HIGH CARBON TOOL STEEL WITH A CUSTOM FIT WALNUT HANDLE ,A 0.8MM CUTTING DISC WAS USED TO CUT THE PROFILE AND FINISHED WITH A MED GRIT FLAP PAD, STILL NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED BUT IS ABLE TO SERVE ITS DESIGN PURPOSE, MAY FINISH IT THIS YEAR 2010 IF I GET THE TIME AND PUT UP A FINAL VID.

@MrPdante Thanks:),war is a terrible thing,wouldn't it be great if we could all just get on,prob is there's always some pratt who's greed & bad perversions cause the good guys to take action to help those poor innocents who are caught up in it all,like these bloody riots,idiots who have no idea running about looting & causing all kinds of probs with no valid reason,i have come to the conclusion its just human nature,we're a naturally selfish,agressive species & WILL ultimately destroy ourselves.

i have a serious question, im a complete amaetur at this kind of stuff but could i use a solder gun to fuse to pieces of metal together.

@acr2121 Im no knife making expert but i am a metalworker/welder,you will not fuse with the low heat from a solder gun,you will either need to weld with an arc to join metal or to use a forge, both require a lot of developed skill,if you dont have these options then this basic knife i just carved with a grinder, glued the wooden handle and carved again to finish,my stainless trenchknife on the other hand i welded & took more time and skill,a forge is very easy to make,lots of ideas on youtube :)

@ARCEYE78 you could use an acetylene setup with a welding tip as well.... depending on how much strength it needs to have
