@valley818west actually, they don't cover them up anymore. i studied at a high school in japan. the textbooks and the teachers clearly stated that okinawa citizens were forced to fight, just to delay the Americans from reaching mainland.

I love Japan and people are so nice here.I dont beleive japanese people ever started this battle...America is bad corrupted...The only one country I was never tempted to visit..And I know why..BTW I am from Europe..

私は沖縄県民だがアメリカ兵も日本兵も恨んではない。
しかしここのコメントの"good job USA"の文字を見ると怒りが込み上げる。
戦争で褒め称えるところなんてどこにある?

My father lost his leg fighting in Okinawa and I was married to a wonderful and very loving Japanese woman named Kyoko who I lost in a car accident in 1991. I was able to bring both countries together under a very loving roof. If I can do it anyone can. The sins of the past can be forgiven with sincere sorrow. This I saw in Kyoko's parents eyes. Let this war never happen again....
