Flash, The L brothers, Cool Herc, all the early rap artist sampled this. It's from the Cookie Monster theme on Sesame street.

@MagcialWorldOfMusic What part of the "Comfort Zone", was sampled from this track?

A real Uptown B Boy Classic!! and your right about before hiphop lft NY sometimes it seems like the beats that gave birth to hiphp sometimes get overlooked but as we know good music never dies it jut gets re sampled!!!

I used to love cutting this up on the turntables back in the days. Before Rap left New York. Those were some good days. I miss the late 70's.

This beat was sampled by Vanessa Williams entitled "Running Back to You" and it was from the album "The Comfort Zone", and you might hear some part of "I Can't Stop" in the middle of the song.
