Vestigial organs are excellent evidence for evolution. Here I will explain them, and give a long list of them. It'll be easy, possibly even FUN, to watch. This is no university lecture!

  • dont whales have the pelvis bone for mating and flightless birds have wings for body language reasons?

  • @JDilla2812

The point is that the fact that they are there in such a reduced form strongly implies that they once were fully-developed.

They can still have some small use.

  • I see evidence that you have a vestigal organ. Its your brain.

  • @Johnf85 They use it for giving birth,

    Thanks

  • @JDilla2812 Whales have the pelvis bone for mating? Where the hell did you hear that nonsense? Thats never been said by any whale biologist, ever. If you do have a source please share it as well as the credentials of the author.

    Thanks

    J

  • wow never knew that one about the third eyelid, could it be a remnant of our amphibious ancestors?

  • The whale uses those two bones, they are not hips, they are part of their reproductive systhem, as are the boas claws. We still beed our tail bone too.

  • @LazaaMMA

I did not say that at all, of course evolution is a fact, and vestigial organs are one (among thousands of other) very strong evidence for evolution by natural selection. I was only pointing out that some of the organs mentioned in this debate were not vestigial, or at least arguably non-vestigial. I study molecular biology, and I deal with evolution (micro level of course) on an everyday basis.

  • wow that Eagle...I don't think anything can symbolize America more than that.

  • although i do not agree with your views, it was a VERY informative video. nicely done.
