@Seniorap64 was the north supported by USSR and china yes they were. the gulf of tokin second attack never happened the first was hardly unprovoked though south vietnamesse had raided a northern costal area and the Northern forces pursued them ito international waters.America had been involved since 1946 not 65. We paid the financial cost of the french war 46-54. The NVA leaders were French educated Ho was a member of the french comunist party in 1920s when he worked in france as waiter
@khoazilla the politics changed after TET 68 the American will to support what the public viewed as a corrupt government not worth supporting anymore.we tryed to find someone who would create a government that protected the population yet didnt alienate them I wish westmoreland had never been com macv and gen Ed Landsdale had been there understanding the kind of war we were fighting
@PigsyCyberBully we gave the south vietnamesse 10 years to form a government that its people belived in our mistake was focusing on a military solution to a political problem. The US Army over road the Marines and forced the abandonment of the cap programe to beat the bush looking for NVA and VC. The US made the south vietnamesse dependent on america fighting for them instead of supporting them in wiinning there war themselves that lesson is one reason troop size in afganistian
The U.S. seem to spend all it's time invading other countries and losing. The next one they are running from is Afghanistan. The U.S. are stupid mentally retarded backward fucking cunts lowlife scumbags.
Vietnam was all about big corporations making a lot of money on the blood of the young men and women who went to fight there under false pretense they were fighting Communism. Just like every other war including the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Keep entertaining yourselves letting the media and your government brainwash you. Keep watching American Idol and the Superbowl while they run your life.
With all of these technologies and powers, if US decided to stay a bit longer in Vietnam, the outcome of the war could have been better. However, Vietnam nowadays has opened up its relationship with US; that is a good thing. China is getting a bit uncontrollable, so Vietnam must look to make friends with US and Russia again.
@jjjooommm222 " I like how their depiction of protseters is of capitulating youngsters disrespecting the country and wishing to give the country to the communists" The depiction is completely true
@xpat73 It’s been my experience that people who make the kind of statements you made are seriously lacking in the historical aspects of whatever you’re commenting on.
