"Man Climbs Music" 1/20

1925 Design meets 2010 audio technology

This is an Artistic Restoration of a 1925 SAAL Speaker Horn #1/20 in a functional Art series by BenStudio25.

My Personal life time guaranty applies, any repair, any questions answered any time.
Over 100 hours of restoration labor, artistic design, painting, bakelite polishing, and custom electronic work. I am curious to see what the eBay community thinks of my artistic restoration and electronics. The next 2 in the series will only be available at RadioFest in WillowBrook, IL Aug 5th sponsored by the Illinois antique radio club. They will be offered for $900 each

Completely refinished in Colorshift Emerald to Bronze to Violet paint. No expense was spared.

The climbing man is an 11" ManHandle from SOKO studio www.sokostudio.com that cost roughly $300 and is an exceptional edition to the elegant Art Deco design.

1Gb iPod shuffle provides 500 songs worth of music from your iTunes. In addition you can use the speaker horn to play your iPhone, Zune, all other digital music players, or any device with a standard stereo jack. The face of the iPod is colorshift matched to the speaker horn and will come with its original box, instructions, and mini-dock for USB charging and synchronizing.

Philips Stereo 3 watt full range speakers are powered by an amazing 3 AAA amplifier that provides incredible sound with a frequency response of 100 Hertz - 20,000 Hertz. With my electrical engineering background I downsized parts of the system and added a toggle switch for main power. Everything electronic is hidden inside the base of the horn along with the 2nd channel speaker that uses the base as its acoustic enclosure.

For the antique collector this is a functional art piece along with an investment quality 85 year old speaker horn. The original SAAL chicago "driver" will be included.

I could go on for hours about this incredible piece that really became a love affair as I worked on the restoration. The audio and electronics ended up being exceptionally nice especially with the size constraints. Please see the youtube video above for more details and feel free to email with any questions. I even have a before picture if you'd like to see it.

Thank you very much for looking!
