the drummer is from PAUL MACA of BEATLES fame and its in D but Eric tuned down to d so he plays in E band in D like Hendrix original, wish this drummer was on CROSSROADS vids awsome ,Mitch,s drums fantastic on LADYLAND

Thanks for posting this. I just heard the album version the other night and almost died. The Hendrix/Winwood version off ELL is one of my all time favorite pieces of music.
Can anyone tell me who the drummer is in this video?

It's actually called "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)." With a "d." And no, this isn't the same song. "(Slight Return)" is much shorter and is pretty distinctive because Hendrix used the wah-wah pedal. You can find videos of Stevie Ray Vaughan playing it on this site.
