  • The ending of the scene just shows the beauty of The Wire's subtle social commentary. As the dust fills the streets and causes problems for the spectators, it represents a reckless government's failure to understand or deal with the consequences of their actions, and how they hurt other people.

  • @RIBASAROUS excellent perspective. The loss of this territory leads to need of gangs to fight for new territory, which eventually leads to the death of the little kid from the stray bullet

  • @Patriots09ist lol!!

  • @RIBASAROUS yup, the great theme of the wire is that the capitalist institutions around us, whether the drug empires or the education system or cops, will never change because not enough are willing to address their inherent failures. at the same time, the season is about reform in bunny colvin and stringer bell, both of whom struggle and fail to reform because of their institutions that they are stuck in.

  • Those three were brothers and 2 dies... WIllie and Bodie

  • @PieandBiscuits The dirt and dust symbolizes the unforeseen consequences of addressing a problem only at face value. Its a recurring theme throughout the series, as Baltimore tries to put a ban-daid on their serious problems instead of addressing at the fundamental and systemic issues that underlie racial and economic inequality. Juking the stats and tearing down this building are the same thing, nothing changes.

  • @DankstaTV all of the dirt and dust symbolizes the the corruption of those who brought down the towers. The corporations and big business are those who are really hurting the low-income families.

  • @PieandBiscuits Everyone's cheering, then the towers come down and everyone's choking on the debris?

  • When you walk through the garden

  • @dejonal Yeah I know what happen down there in the nola, i got a bunch of ppls down there. they tore down all the pjs a couple years ago down there and since then its been mayhem.....thats fucked up.
