*Sep 1, 1923 - Aug 31, 1969*. He never lost a professional fight with a record of 49-0. This video is courtesy of ESPN and SportsCentury. I videotaped this show when it aired on the ESPN Classic Sports channel and now I recorded it off my TV. The quality is not too bad so enjoy. Ali was scared shitless of Marciano after he tried to make a dick outa him and Marciano floored him with a body shot and left him there for about 10mins.

Head shots were pulled but body shots werent - Marciano KOd him with a body shot in the 13th in the film. That was a real body shot.

Dr. Pacheco, Ali's fight doctor, went on the record after Ali and Marciano had fought in the ring in Miami, and stated that Marciano knocked out Ali with a left uppercut to the body. Ali was knocked out cold and had to be dragged to his corner, pulled up onto a stool, and administered smelling salts until he came to. "That was a real body shot." Exactly. To get in shape for those 76 one-minute rounds in Miami, the Rock dropped from 260 to 201, in 20 weeks.

@nusucker Actually he did fight old men so you can't blame them for saying so, Marciano's best opposition were Moore, Walcott, Charles and Louis. Know what age they averaged when he fought them? 37 years of age. Ali's best opposition Liston, Frazier, Patterson, Foreman, Quarry, Norton, Lyle, Shavers, Williams, Terrel, Ellis, Chuvalo. They average and age of only 29. Ali fought most of them in their prime while Marciano fought them when they were old. As for Tyson, he fought too many journeymen.
