The 1/3 corvair is intended for very light aircraft. You wouldn't want to use a complete corvair for such an aircraft for the same reason you don't want to put an O200 on an ultralight. It's just too darned heavy. It would never work.
I've been interested in this engine, as I built a similar one and wanted to compare notes with flycorvair, but he has not responded. Do you know how I can reach him? Thanks for any info.
@charzkuentzle there were 1.8 million corvairs made, they're not exactly cosidered rare.

Well....It works and is safe on the ground.
Just can't expect much in a climb or headwind I expect. Why not use the complete Corvair??
