I have the HP 1116NR, do you know if it is SATA ou PATA? Its specifications from HP site only tells 16GB (Solid State Drive Flash Module).

@raphamota probally going to be SATA. you should check by booting into the bios config to see what infomation it shows the harddrive as.

Runecore has a program on the SSD when you plug it in as a usb. installed the program that's on the SDD and then the program clone your harddrive and make a copy of your old HDD. I forgot what the program is called but the program is free.

The ssd is pata? Arn't most Sata?

@badderthanyou The first generation used the cheapest SSD connection and that was pata. This video was created for the earlier models. Third generation of HP mini started using Sata connects. you can tell by the fact that chassis in the newer model was more thicker then the earlier models to commodate standard laptop SATA HDD.

Would you please indicate from which exact seller you purchased the Runcore 32 GB ZIP PATA drive from? May I please ask if you have video that shows how the transfer of files from the old to the new ssd took place? I liked your video but not sure if I'd do the transfer myself or just take the 32 GB drive to a computer shop and have them switch out the drives. thanks - puffytaco

SO those of use with the standard 60gb hd can we buy a 2.5" PATA SSD? I cant seem to find any 1.8 PATA SSD's around.

I keep getting "Missing Operating System" on screen at start up....does this necessarily mean a bad drive? Can I just just reload the OS somehow...I've done in on regular laptops but not a Mini with no HDD. Any suggestions?

@jimmyrogain hey so I have a virus on my hp mini 1000 will any other hdd work besides the stock hs082hb model?? And if so wich ones and do u need to download a program or is it all good to just pop in
