Tales of Rebirth (subbed) Claire Side Part 1: Intro

UPDATE (1-4-09): This is old and ugly, so see the video response for an improved version of this vid. Kudos to snoozysam for offering to help me update some of my older videos. He's doing a wonderful job so far, so give the man a hand! ^^ And in case anyone's wondering, I'm only going to update the first 7 videos or thereabouts (plus the Ougi/Hi-Ougi Exhibitions, tutorials, and maybe the battle quotes), so the whole game is unfortunately not going to get a facelift or anything. Because all of the ToD2 fans would then proceed to hunt me down. *ducks* XD

This is my first video, so pardon the newbieness. The footage is from the beginning of Tales of Rebirth. The translation is a mix of Spekio's FAQ for ToR on Gamefaqs and my own personal endeavors. If anyone notices any glaring mistakes or has suggestions for me, please let me know; minor quibbles might not get fixed though because I'm lazy like that.

It took me a while to do this (OCD + minimal computer skills = time sponge), but I hope to get more of the game up. Sometime. In the future. You know, when it happens and all. Of course, I'd love it if Bamco would just domestically release the game instead. *nudgenudge*

And ToD2 is most likely going to be my next venture once I finish up Rebirth. I'm probably gonna make a big fuss of it on my channel and on the Tales board when it happens, so don't worry, you'll know. ^^

Hey, lanyn! You´re a real life safer! ^^ I´ve been a fan of the Tales series for quite some time, and since I already have every single officially translated Tales game in my possession, I was thinking on importing some of those gems Namco (-Bandai) has never had the guts to release in the west. Tales of Rebirth is among them, so you´re project is a real gift! But say, do you understand Japanese to an extent that you can play jp-only games just fine? If so, then I envy you. ^^

Thanks for the feedback! While I wouldn't say that I can play Japanese RPGs with no problems, I know enough to get by. Rebirth wasn't as difficult as some of the other JRPGs I've played though since the dialogue was usually both written and spoken, which helps a ton.

Anyway, if you have the time and the interest, I would definitely recommend that you give Rebirth a shot for yourself because overall it's one of the best games I've ever played. ^^

So is Rebirth split into multiple stories from each part members perspective? I was looking through you vids And I saw a Claires side, Veigue side ect. Wish this game made it to the US

Although i havent learned Japanese yet., this game is one of my reasons why i want to learn them. It may take me a few years to play this game but i believe it'll be worth it. (It'd be nice though if someone ever decided to translate it.)

For me, this is the best game in the whole Tales series. This game was the one which had me learn Japanese. After learning a whole year, i was back to this game and it was worth it. Thanks to that, i don't want to play E version of any other games any more. JP seiyuu OWNING ! I often use Veigue, Hilda (sometimes Mao), Eugene and Annie.
