Big trees, your little logging railroad is going to have fun moving them....

@BeezrGeezr hudsle Actually your question is a great complement. Thanks! The track is Aristo, USA and LGB. Rattle can paint. Rustolium heavy metel primer is shot on the rails and ties followed with a light shot of flat black down the middle. The logging loop got the primer on the rails which were masked off with some movable plastic u shaped strips then the ties were shot with a beige to replecate untreated ties of a logging operation.

@BeezrGeezr After drying, a sanding block is run over the top and a curved block also to get the inside radius of the railheads. A little hand sanding is needed at the turn outs. The painting is done after the track is in place so no problems with the joiner connections.

How did you get that aged/oxidized look on most of the track? Are they hand laid with wood ties or standard store bought with plastic ties? Does it affect track power much?

I ran on a 6200 for the first year and a half going through an Aristo Craft Train Engineer track side set up and had no problems until trying to run multiple locos. Especially the SD-45 diesels. The 6200 would trip out and reset after a few minutes. So, it will let you know if you are asking too much of it. It is now my bench power and still works great.
It will run your Heisler till the cows come home.
Does the Heilsler have die cast gear boxes? I've been looking at them on ebay. Pricey!!
So no loss of power to the train or track? Very impressive. Fine grit or coarser?

@hudsle 150 grit wet or dry. I carry a bucket of water along to clean the sandpaper off when it gets gunked up. I staple the sandpaper to an old Swiffer mop head. Works great for tree sap and just normal stuff that gets on the rails.

Thanks, Firemanmike 500. The wheels are what powers my automatic, directional switches. A 'spring switch' of sorts. I have a couple of short videos about them on You Tube. They work great!
