  • By the way, I live in the wrong time :)

  • Musicians who listen to this a few times will realize the guys in band are no slouches, and the arrangement with the flowing sax lines and horn accents help make this performance meaningful.

  • Thank you for posting. Bob used the spelling Eberly, brother Ray used Eberle.

  • @mashtones Thanks, I made the change.

  • Dear Helen....will you marry me? :)

  • @gompth1966 Yeah, really.

  • @Bobotmedia hiya boots! I live in the wrong life too.....what wonderful, wonderful songs came from this era. And I am supposed to be 'too young' to appreciate this music, but wow, do I ever! Helen O'Connell is fantastic....I just love it when she says "Those cool and limpid green eyes!" and she curls her nose.

  • Tell me you don't love those dimples. :)

  • @laurelfr1 You mean at 1:58? I always liked that coy, flirty mannerism she does there :)

  • I am an 'old hippie' but before my father died at 88, he 'turned me on to Helen. Whatta song!

I just love it when she sings 'those cool and limpid greeneyes'!

  • my grandma loved this song, but I was too young to understand why. Now I know. Thanks grandma. Rest in peace.

  • Is this th absolute BEST? -- You BETTER believe it is! GREAT POST
