This experimental film superimposes one narrative over another. The still images are slides that depict the life of St Francis of Assisi. The frescos are painted by Giotto, in the Basilica of San Francesco d'Assisi. The film beneath the slides is Alfred Hitchcock's 'The Man Who Knew Too Much'. Brightly lit backgrounds between fleeting shadows reveal the images of St Francis, glimpses of the film are viewed through the blur of a colour slide. The outcome of the process is the creation of relationships between two previously unrelated narratives.
