Finally a new video of my '81 El Camino SS!
The last video was shot on a nearby parkinglot. Back then it didnt look anything like this. The whole car was sanded down to the bare metal and filled, primed, blocked and painted. All done by me and my mate Jorrit (thnx B!).

The engine is coming out next week. There's a new tranny waiting as is a edelbrock performer camshaft, a holley 650cfm carb, headers+dual exhaust and a new timingchain. You can clearly hear the chain rattle in this vid.....

  • how much for the paint?

  • @SloanKetering

I am a carpainter myself, so i did everything myself, with help of my mate Jorrit...

I only paid for the materials used, so in usd i would guess around $400.-

In any other case one would pay anything between 4 and 6000.- for a GOOD paintjob in Holland.

  • that is a good looking car. im thinking of buying one. how good are they to have.

  • @daniel55645

They are perfect to own and drive.

But remember, they are old cars, so they need care and maintenance. When you check or change the oils regularly and don't trash the car, they are almost unbreakable.

  • LOL. I love that EVERYONE was trash talking the shit out of this before and now its nice as fuck

  • @leafsrule16

HA! Nice one! Thnx mate :)

Btw. the rattle turned out to be not the timingchain but the powersteeringpump! Pretty easy fix :)

  • that is 1 nice elco luv it sounds awsome

  • Beautiful, love it!

  • wat in that 305 it sounds good

  • SO this is a 305 chevy small block rigth ????

  • Love the style

  • @thekidwess I just fully rebuilt my 305 and it runs hella strong, but I dumped a good bit of money into it. Best thing you can do for these motors is gasket match the cylinder heads, tune your carb properly, and open up the exhaust. The biggest weak point for most 305s is the compression, but I dropped the cash for flat top pistons and had my block decked and the heads shaved. Pros: people give me funny looks when I tell them it's a 305. Cons: can't run anything but 93 octane.

  • Definetely much better than the other video lol! Hey If I do all the body working myself and just want to shoot my car with paint by a shop how much will it cost in USD?

  • @pizzano21 Hoe duur heeft de auto zelf gekost?

  • @pizzano21 I gotta agree,I recently got a caballero(gmc's el camino) as my first car and 33 years without maintenance it still runs and sounds like ol muscle,it aint pretty though lol
