This year Lord Selkirk Elementary School celebrates its centennial...but is really celebrating 100 years of community. As a legacy to the school, Cedar Cottage and our neighbourhood, we would like to revitalize Selkirk's school grounds. In doing so our mission is to replace the main playground that is currently scheduled to be removed due to safety concerns, build a new pre-school play area and create a new natural/social play area. Our new school grounds will also include an outdoor teaching area, green space and a community garden. The main play structures are being designed with all of our students needs in mind, including those with physical and behavioural challenges.
