I argued that we should be prepared, hence eco-nuts should STFU and quit preventing viable plans to stop energy shortages, Eco-nuts are just that, don't they read the papers and see that Global Warming is basically a giant tax raising scam, that the whole AGW agenda is awash with vested interests, bribery and corruption?????

@mytimetravellingdog Renewables are completely hopeless as a short-term solution to the problems we face, they're unreliable and insufficient. The Sapnish only have so many renewables because the EU - namely Britain - funded them. The EU won't do this for the UK. And if you honestly believe the Severn Barrage will happen within the next 100 years you're truly delusional, it won't happen, its a pipe dream. Nuclear and CC plants are the only sane and realistic methods of staving off power shortage

firstly peak oil is coming soon, they will cause power cuts and social upheaval as it is if we do nothing. we should be prepared and reduce environmental harm along the way.

renewables arent useless. they merely need to be implemented on a large scale and from numerous reliable sources. spain has generated 40% of its power from wind turbines already.

the potential severn barrage will it is estimated generate as much as 3 nuclear power plants if made.
