  • Has anyone addressed what 9000 new housing units will do to the single-lane Commack Road, which is already backing up, as predicted, since the shopping center was built south of the railroad tracks?

  • Does anyone know what the status of this community is? Seems like they tore down some old buildings on the site and did nothing else. Now there are piles of rubble that have been sitting there for years. What's up with that??

  • Sounds like an incredible solution to a growing long island population. Its central location makes it easily accessible to both the east and west ends of the island. As an architect from brentwood, Its also nice to hear that they are focusing on sustainable architecture and renewable energy. As long as the bias people and they're comments (like that of "wizgrand") stay away from this community, It should be a beautiful melting pot for professionals and working class families alike. Good luck.

  • Yea... I'd love to see some new large-scale development on the Island but after the failure of the Lighthouse Project I fear this area of NY is viewed as Toxic to developers. If one is still willing to jump through all the hurdles that local government sets in their way then more power to them...and good luck!

  • Well, it all looks very nice, but we never heard projected prices to buy/rent here. Sadly, it will probably turn out to be the new home for so many newly minted citizens when the politicians ram the illegals down our throats, creating the largest 'housing project' slum ever built on LI. What a shame.

  • Stop the NIBMYISM and build this project

  • What an outstanding development idea from a true visionary, communities like this can only enhance the future of Long Island. Affordable, well maintaned, green communities like this will help shape not only Long Island but the entire country. Let's get behind this project 110%.
