Video out my back door. Pretty boring, except for the very end with the unlikely announcement. Reminded me of my old Ohio days.

  • Yeah, I grew up in Ohio and I recognized the cloud formations. It was very impressive. The video didn't do it justice. I didn't catch any lightning, but got some thunder. My 8-year-old became scared after the tornado warning. I wanted to go outside and look for funnel clouds! Ha Ha

  • Nice video! It looks like you didn't get the serious part of the storm, like me.

There was a confirmed tornado reported in Peoria, along with hail ranging from 1" - 1.75" size in Linn County.

This thunderstorm alone traveled about 100 miles, from Eugene all the way to Portland. Winds of 60 - 70 mph were observed in many cities. This is pretty identical to any midwestern storm, and looked very impressive on Doppler radar, as it covered most of the Willamette Valley.
