@motekmobile Typically you don't pay income tax when you buy a house, only when you sell it. Unfortunately as this is a raffle the house is a reward so it would fall under the income tax regulations as would any other lottery.

No it is income Tax! Getting a $3M house for $10 mean you Just made 3M-10 in income you would have to pay taxes on the Money you made. IJust like when you when any prize you have to pay income tax on its value. Otherwise what to stop companies from paying their employees in items to skip the taxes.
Stupid income tax, the government gets 1 million dollars richer when the house is sold. I think no one who buys a ticket has that amount of money.
