Iron Man - Behind the scenes for Audi R8 Stunt

Director Jon Favreau had planned for the Audi R8 to be used in a final scene by being involved in a dramatic collision with Iron Man's wicked adversary. This had to be omitted from the final cut, Director Jon Favreau explains: "The crash just wasn't spectacular enough! Our stunt specialists did their best to turn the R8 over onto its roof, which would have given us a dramatic final scene, but they failed -- the car clung to the road too well!"
Jon Favreau, Producer Kevin Feige and John Armstrong, Picture Car Coordinator, give an impression of their efforts.

This movie is just one large Audi ad.

You can see Stark every 5 minutes driving the car, running around the car, standing next to the car, and the camera zooms right into the Audi sign. What's next? Eating, sleeping or ... wanking in the car? It's too much!

Anyway! As a German, all I'm thinking about right now is the tears in Audi workers eyes watching those hollywood monkeys crashing their beauties.
