In my opinion there are alot of good bass players out there. But over all when it comes flava and skill and plain nastiness......REGGIE YOUNG is the man. Pick up any old school Hezekiah Walker or James Hall album and you will find out that this is true. Shout outs to Andrew Gouche. He is probably the only guy that can come close.

  • WoW! The world is full of excellent bass players. Reggie has own thing going on!

  • Muy bueno, Felicitaciones!!!!!!

  • @moochdawg Oh yeah bro...I still blast that. His playin and production skills are ridiculous!!! Check them albums by Eric McDaniel too...FILTHY BRO!!!! Can't nobody rock that bass like Reggie!!!

  • @campdrew21 : Yeah, Reggie's music with the late Rev. Timothy Wright is my most favorite of ALL of Reggie's musical history. His project "The Grounds We Play On" is nice also. But yeah, you've got to check out the "Come Though Almighty King" project, and most certainly the "Live In London" project (both by Rev. Timothy Wright)!

  • I didn't realize he was on Come Thou Almighty King. I always enjoyed his work with Hez and James Hall. I got to buy his new cd. The clips I heard were great.

  • I like how he don't even break a sweat, lol. Just The Realness!!!!!!!!

  • Reggie Young is one of the most underated bassist in gospel music. Reggie has SHOCKED and AMAZED my ears fo over 20 yrs. with his style of playing. In my opinion, Reggie's BEST work was when he was with the late Rev. Timothy Wright! I can go back to a couple of songs (Alright-on the Come Thou Almighty King project) and (Come Thou Almighty King-title track)! Reggie did these two LONG-SICK bass runs that were simply AWESOME! Most of all, my ALL-TIME favorite T. Wright featuring Reggie........

  • Reggie is definitly one sick bass player. I have one request and that is for Reggie to post that lick he did on the song '' Worthy To Be Praised'' on the Craig Hayes cd from a while back. If yall aint heard it, that will show yall how sick he really is.

  • I guess Reggie could shut up a lot of cats with this one. This is from his debut cd titled Among Friends. The song is May I. People said he did overdubs on this tune. I don't think so.

  • "4 strings" is really killin
