Cree Knowledge (4mins)

A Woodland Cree traditional healer and a boreal researcher investigate a new concern: clear cut logging in the habitat where mother moose go to have their calves.

About Chapter 2: Forests For The Future

We need Alberta's forests to slow global warming, as well as provide clean air, water and habitat for many different species. The boreal forest also provides a livelihood to many Northern Albertans. How can we have industry in the forest without destroying it?

About Made-in-Alberta (MIA) Series

Energy, water and climate, these are hot topics for the 21st Century. With conventional fuel reserves running out, water tables running low, and global temperatures running high, 96 percent of Albertans now want new energy solutions. Since 2004, Barb Allard and her Made-in-Alberta team have been finding these solutions and bringing them to community television and the world wide web.
