The website mentions the the BarnackWinder can be used on iiiC and later. ie "Screwmount Leica IIIc/g/f" But I don't know if it can be used on earlier bodies such as the iiiA

I forgot to mention that screw mount leicas have a BarnackWinder available to them that is very similar to the leicavit.

Nice to see someone else who uses their left eye with a Leica M series... I thought I was the only one. My left eye is good for distance and my right is my reading eye.

thats just awesome! :D I really do love rangefinders...its a real shame it seems like such an expensive proposition to purchase one..
