VW Routan 0-60 mph in 6.9 seconds - When did minivans get this quick? (drift, burnout, launch)

I took my wife's 283 horsepower (Pentastar 3.6L V6) 2012 VW Routan minivan out for a spin today and was surprised with how much power it has. It's severely traction limited in 1st gear, but I still cracked off a few high 6 second 0-60 mph runs. That's quicker than most cars I've owned in my life! LMAO

a complete dodge or chrysler vehicle dress it up a little jack -up the price and voila we have a volkswagen routan...my 2008 dodge GC SXT 3.8 is not as fast but i still can do good runs...

@Iridium725 Hehe I used to drive a Passat for two years, only without the turbo (150bhp), otherwise same FSI engine. Id love to have yours, its a great engine, same as in Golf GTI, you should be happy. You can always chip it if you feel its inadequate.

@pyramid011 - LOL, totally right. Take away my mullet card. Edited to 3rd Gen. By the 4th gen, the LT1 should be able to keep them in front of just about any minivan.
